Radiohead Playlist
In my last playlist post, Brad Mehldau, I referred to Radiohead‘s Exit Music (For a Film) as one of my all-time favourite songs. I didn’t include Brad Mehldau’s cover version of the song in the playlist, but Radiohead‘s original is included here. And in a previous post, I said that Lhasa de Sela‘s The Living Road is one of my desert island discs. I would also need to take Radiohead’s OK Computer to that desert island; even almost 20 years after it was released, this album still stings and stuns musically, lyrically and emotionally from start to finish. OK Computer was recently chosen for preservation by the Library of Congress. Seems like I’m not the only one who thinks Thom Yorke is a latter day Mozartian genius. More desert island discs to come…
