Butter Tart Squares Recipe
 
 
Ingredients
  • ⅔ cup cold butter
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ½ cup icing sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • Pinch salt
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • pinch cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 tbsp flour
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Whir first five ingredients in a food processor fitted with a metal blade until crumbly or sift dry ingredients and cut in cold butter with pastry cutter (photo 1 and photo 2)
  3. Press into ungreased 9 x 13 pan
  4. bake 20 minutes or until lightly golden brown, cool slightly about 5 minutes (photo 3)
  5. in a separate bowl, mix remaining ingredients and pour over base (photo 4 and 5)
  6. Bake 20 minutes until set but jiggly
  7. Cool, cut into squares (photo 6)
